Tornadoes and Craters

It was the serene setting as I sketched two lunar craters while thinking about the news of the tornado damage in Moore OK that led to the story and the sketch on this page: http://christworksministries.org/inspiration_when_bad

I have friends in Stillwater (not far from Moore) and have had emails with them. They spend time in India when we are usually in the Philippines. They have had their share of health disasters like ours, so walking through contrary circumstances is familiar territory. All of this seems (but is not) so far from my serene observing period last night, where I recorded the details of Philolaus and Anaximenes.
There is religious content.

Roland,
Nice job. I always enjoy reading your stories. I often find the Moon rather meditative.

Roland,

Fine sketch of those craters.
The folks in Moore, Ok will remain in our thoughts.

Frank

Thanks all. Got hammered today with 2 inches of rain in well less than an hour along with winds. Nothing compared to a tornado or hurricane, however. And, the beautiful moon rise tonight was quickly covered in grey...it's pouring again.
