Steve Tyler CAN use Maxbrights... new
      #5930108 - 06/19/13 09:36 PM

Ok - my Maxbrights actually afford a very tight inter pupillary distance afterall. The trouble was that the bushings being new and sat for sometime led me to believe it only closed the gap so far. With the gentlest pressure however I adjusted it through its full range and its perfectly fine. Indeed, a toad could just about use them.

I ve had done nice views today - sweeping seascapes on a clear blue sky day and a heavily textured moon this evening. I'm considering a 2.5x GPC however as all scopes se to need that - save for the sct.

I do love these things

Pete

What eyepieces are you using for lunar? Are you using any GPC at all?

Yes I have the 1.7x GPC and while its fine with a straight through bino configuration it won't allow the use of my diagonal . Its looking like a 2.5x is needed.

The oculars are BAADER Classic Orthoscopics. Quite sharp.
