Very interesting.

I am looking forward to what the astrophysicists among us have to say.

I also look forward to the responses to the articles reference to the very same anomalies issue drl raised.

Otto

Seems pretty cool, the jist of it is the theory that the tail of the comets we see is not the outgassing of icy debri form gradual warming but excited particles, so it's more like an arora than the dusty tail I thought was understood. Also, no water/ice in the comets, hadn't heard that one before. Lots of cool footage of comets in the video, a bit slow and dry, but I liked it.

Just too stupid to comment on huh? Think I'm an idiot for posting this? Waste of time? What?

Well...you're saying it, not I. However, I do note that the additional videos listed together with this one on its YouTube page all concern wacky views and theories regarding actually rather well understood situations. Let me just say that lumping this electric comet concept together with other pseudo-science postings was definitely a logical choice.

The so-called Electric Universe, which encompasses electric comets that "discharge the solar capacitor", is more or less an outgrowth of Velikovskyism (Velikovskianism).

Thank you Dave, that was very informative. I thought there might be some rational argument against the standard comet model, I can see I was mistaken.
I gotta stop listening to random youtube "documentaries" while I work...
