ATLAS EQ-G DB9 C1-C9 WIRES?
      #5941530 - 06/26/13 02:37 PM

I accidentally knocked over my Atlas mount while adjusting the placement of an usecured 6' Homedome and pulled out the Eqmod USB to DB9 adapter.

I now have an orange, yellow and black wire that used to go into the Atlas DB9 adapter at pins 2, 3 and 5 but try as I might many times I couldn't get it to work with EQMOD.

I took out the circuit board and it appeared unconnected from the circuit board connector to pins 2 and 3 Left to Right.

Can any one please look at an Atlas DB9 or tell me what 3 colored wires from C4-C9 on the circuit board should my USB orange, yellow and black wires be attached to?

Thanks infinitely

I posted this question at the Yahoo EQ-G forum last week with no reply.

Physical wire connections from the on-board (PCB) plug to the rear of the female DB9 mounted on the plate:

Black to pin 1
Pin 2, 3 NC
Yellow to pin 4
Green to pin 5
Red to pin 6
Pin 7 NC
Grey to pin 8
Orange to pin 9

I'm not entirely certain that's what you needed. If not, let me know and I'll take another look.

What I'm trying to remember is how I connected 3 USB wires- orange, yellow and black to the mount without blowing my circuit board.

I think from the PC it was:

USB male black wire (GND) to female black Pin 1
USB male yellow wire (RXD) to female red Pin 6
USB male orange wire (TXD) to female orange to Pin 9

or buy a Shoestring EQDirect Connect cable for $40?

Hmmm possibly smoke a circuit board not easily acquired?

I had one smoked last year by a bad ac/dc converter - $225

Since I'm a cutting edge guy who's always on the verge of the bleeding edge...your advice is appreciated and should be given serious consideration.
