Revelation vs others
      #5947555 - 06/30/13 04:51 AM

I was thinking of getting some Revelation EP. But how do they compare to celestron or Baader EPs for example. I suspect Revelation is a china brand.... I don't want to speand loads neither do I want cheap rubbish.

The revelation eyepiece set appears to be a clone of the Celestron set. These should work fine if you are looking for reasonable quality plossl eyepieces.

I did look at the baader options and seems they have a wider FOV like 72 compared to the revalation similar version which only manages 60 about.

Must admit that I don't really understand FOV. If both EP are 50mm that wide but if one has a FOV of 72 then that means its wider still???

Well take a look at the "sick of eyecups falling apart" thread and bear in mind that when a Chinese factory clones a product that it makes for an offshore manufacturer, it takes a great deal of liberty in the execution.
