good grab and go mount for my new vixen ed80sf? new

I've got a budget of about $100, I just need this mount before GSSP on the 6th. I have a photo tripod, but I lost the adapter that fits into it.

A $100 mount may be a bit hard to come by. There is a "Celestron GT80 refractor scope" listed in the ads here on CN for $175. If you buy that you could re-sell the OTA for $75.

"Good" plus "about $100" means used, and probably a bit more than $100 as Mike said. There's a Vixen PortaMount on that other classified website for $145 right now, they're supposed to be good although the tripod doesn't look real solid...I'd jump for that.

Look at ebay for a Meade DS-2000, or look for a used CG-4. Time is your biggest enemy right now.
