Craters Aristoteles and Eudoxus

Last night I did some sketching with my little 72mm refractor. I used a 5mm eyepiece and spent some time studying the area around both craters. It was a very beautiful area with so much to see. I don't think I have done it justice but I tried.

You're right - it is a very beautiful area with so much to see. Your sketch is lovely and certainly does do it justice!

Great sketch - love the shadow/light balance. It often seems to me that when you start a lunar sketch its really hard to know when to stop but yours has a really nice composition.

Thanks Rutilus and Roland.

Chris,
Thanks for the encouraging words. The more I started looking the more I saw in this area. I kept seeing little nuances and made some changes. Then I just stopped sketching and looked for a few minutes just comparing and finally felt I had a good interpretation of my view.

Ken
