We got our august copy of "In These Times" today - it's a monthly news and commentary magazine - and this issue includes three full pages of info on light pollution, with clear descriptions of different types of light, and lighting's effects on crime and nocturnal animals - as well as humans.

The magazine's website says the story will be posted on line on August 5th. http://inthesetimes.com/archives/covers_ind/37/08/

Considering that the article in question is in a progressive/socialist political publication with a circulation of around 20,000, I don't believe that it will be of much or any influence in the circles where it might have any real impact, apart from possibly driving a wedge into the issue due to perceived partisanship.
