Probably to get a different larger power range with the given barlows. Also less back focus would be needed. If I'm off base what else would be new? Mike

Well glad you asked as I have been looking for something like this! Right now I can't get my WO BV ti work in my 10"DOB. I tried adding the included 1.6x barlow to get it to focus, but still no good. Maybe this extender screwed into the 1.6 nose will do the trick?

REC -- i didn't know about this product when i purchased my OCS from siebert. maybe it's new? anyway, if you buy it and try it out, can you let us know if it worked on your dob?
