Ajay, that is incredible!

Cliff, thanks much. I think I'll take Minnow this year.

Sound great and look forward to having you there. Maybe take Minnow to Pixieland on your way home?

Andy,

Start down that visual road and the next thing you know you'll have Pelican case full of Televues!

Oh boy, that would be expensive!

Ajay, thanks for sharing the sad news. John Dobson was and will be a true legend.

Andy

Hmmmm, I've realized a scheduling complication, Cliff. Maybe I'll send you a PM on the subject. I don't have time to do it at the moment and I'll be out of town this weekend, so perhaps early next week.

I will chat with you next week. Camp Delany does offer shorter lenghts of stay to accomodate scheduling complications!

We have had a rush on RV spots and Camp Delany RV spots are full, there is plenty of bunk house space left!

I actually got out and observed last night! It was even pretty steady. I can handle 40F for a while, it's much easier than freezing temps. I took out the C6 which has not seen much star time, but it was just right last night.

Brad

I'm glad you made it out, Brad. Around here it was getting soupy by 8. Just broken clouds at present.

I've been in Winthrop for two days, with freezing fog, hoar frost and clouds... until about an hour ago. Too late for imaging; but some quick shots of Orion with a static DSLR and 28mm lens(just for some fun).

New supernova in M82! See thread in "General Observing & Astronomy" forum!

First reported yesterday at mag 12. One of the forum participants said mag 11 last night.

Anyone heading out for imaging this weekend? I am planning to do Friday and Saturday both nights probably in the Yakima canyon or Vantage area. I need to add data to my m81 m82 shot.

Thanks! Weather actually looks better on our side of the mountains for a change:) I'll go either to Rattlesnake Lake or Snoqualmie Point Park.

Thanks Mike

Well Winthrop was pretty rough this week. I had nothing but problems with gear and software. The gear problems, I think was related to cold weather. But the software issue...
(just can't really say what I want to: Terms of Service and all) I couldn't use my Atlas mount because somehow the configuration file in "The SkX" vanished and it wanted the license re-entered. Well by the time I discovered that I could get the license off their Web Site, the moment had come and gone. I just got home a couple hours ago and entered the license info... Glad I didn't bother over there. It was a blank slate! All the configuration info was gone. Lucky for me I had a backup on my drive here at home. It still doesn't solve the lost opportunity. I shot M81/M82 with my AT6RC but I didn't have a single sub that didn't have elongated stars... Which blurs the resolution

13 X 5 minutes with full spectrum mod Canon 1000D out of 27 subs
