Vixen GP2 Mount
      #6054439 - 08/30/13 01:12 PM

Anyone know the overall weight of the GP2 mount WITH the tripod that you can get it with? I can't find the tripod and counter weight(s) listed on the Vixen site. It says the GP2 weighs just over 8 lbs. itself.

Thanks for any help.

The counterweight that comes with it is 8.15 pounds the HAL 130 tripod weight is 12.1 pounds. This is from the Vixen catalog.

Thanks for the info, pal. I'm considering one. That's not too bad and will help my old shoulders from hurting. Thinking of a new 80-90mm ED scope to go on it for grab n go purposes (maybe a Stellarvue 90 at most). Gotta get the funds lined up first, though.
