IC 5146 and NGC 281 Gotta love clear skies

The AP spirits were happy for a second consecutive night and I was able to gather 3 hours on each of the Cocoon and Pacman nebulae. Gear and such are the usual suspects, listed in the technical card on Astrobin.

As always, comments and critiques welcomed. Thanks for looking, and clear skies!

I'm not a fan of the rating system there - I'd say both are coming along very well and your processing is really very nice - rating for what is there I give 5 stars to their 3!

Sure there is the data, data, and more data aspect - but there is something to be said for making the most of what is there. I'd be very happy with either or both.

Thanks so much, Jim and Terry. Jim, I don't really pay attention to the rating system there, after reading the site owner's blog posts about people maliciously downvoting out of jealousy or whatever. I'm way too many decades past middle school to worry about that sort of thing. That said, thank you very much for the positive feedback. And I'll take constructive criticism here any time. I know most of the active posters here are interested in both becoming better and helping us noobs

Very nice. I especially like the Cocoon together with B168.

Hi,

Both are indeed nice images. Thoug to my personal taste I think the colors should be a bit more vibrant.

Kind regards,

Wouter.
