Try using a 2x barlow with your 26mm EP. And as others have mentioned, more widely spaced stars. I was having issues getting the warp factor down to a reasonable level with my Dob and a 15mm reticle EP until I added a barlow. It makes a huge difference in your accuracy.

If the star is drifting in the eyepiece perhaps you are not actually tracking at all. After you think you've got an alignment check the tracking mode in the hand controller and make sure it's set for Alt/Az.

i doubt that a low focus length occures any improvement of goto accuracy!
when a star is centered in a crosshair EP dead on you have cought THE CENTER of THAT EP no matter what focus lenght you have chosen. after alignment with a 26 mm EP for instance a new object you should find right in the center of THAT 26 mm EP after having pressed go to thus. alignment is always the same principle whatever EP is used.
may be using a 10 mm EP for alignment puts the alignment star far more critical to the center but is more difficult to center a new object dead on also. am i right?
