I believe the WDS shows the pa of 167 for this dbl.
My observation looked more like 90 or 270 depending on
which star was the primary ( primary: 4.4, 4.6) so I did a search of the current pa and I did get a posting of
current PA 266 and separation: 2.3 from 1 site which was
alot closer to my observation. This is preaty new
to me but most stars I observe are close to the pa listed.
If you have a chance to take a look please let me know what you see.
thanks

Hi Dave-

I think that you just got your orientation off by 90 degrees as the PA of 167 deg appears to be correct.

I photographed Zeta Aqr just last week and I put together a little composite (Attached) which shows the PA. The east-west axis is established by a star trail photo I took of zeta after my primary exposure just for this purpose. I imported the picture into AUTOCAD to measure the angle and it measured at 165 degrees, close to the published value.

Thanks Steve, I'll have to take another look when the clouds clear. Just was funny all other dbls apeared to
match the listings, not sure what I did wrong, maybe late night/tired eyes
