I believe the WDS shows the pa of 167 for this dbl. My observation looked more like 90 or 270 depending on which star was the primary ( primary: 4.4, 4.6) so I did a search of the current pa and I did get a posting of current PA 266º and separation: 2.3 from 1 site which was alot closer to my observation. This is preaty new to me but most stars I observe are close to the pa listed. If you have a chance to take a look please let me know what you see. thanks
I think that you just got your orientation off by 90 degrees as the PA of 167 deg appears to be correct.
I photographed Zeta Aqr just last week and I put together a little composite (Attached) which shows the PA. The east-west axis is established by a star trail photo I took of zeta after my primary exposure just for this purpose. I imported the picture into AUTOCAD to measure the angle and it measured at 165 degrees, close to the published value.
