Superb image but what part of this was captured with a DSLR? The technical card indicates this was completely shot with a CCD and a very nice CCD at that. I wont lie.... I am a bit jealous of your camera and optics!

Again, very nice image and I hope to get a few hour on this later this year.

Clear Skies,
Jason

Sorry, I think I have made a mistake in choosing the section . I have just used CCD.

Best regards,
Roberto

Beautiful M45 Roberto!
I really like seeing all of the faintest outer dust, and you did a great job preserving the star colour.

Darren

Very nice picture. One of my goals for this fall is to get a nice M45 with the dusty bits. Your picture will be a nice example for what I hope to attain.

I don't think I've ever seen it processed like that. Amazing!

That is a gorgeous image, even more so for only 20 minutes total exposure?!

I'm starting to think I've been doing it wrong...

Jared

That's a beautiful rendition Rob. I just did the same target and I think you did a great job bringing out the faint dust around it. The colors also appear spot on.

That is awesome! Is that really a 20min image? (that could be an APOD record, lol) Congrats!

I'm no expert, but your M45 is incredibly pleasing to the eye. Well done!

Thanks a lot to everybody.
It is 2x300s in Luminance + 1x300s B + 1x300s R.
The G has been synthetized as (R+B)/2 in order to spend less (I did it remotely on itelescope)

Very few people believe in it...But it is really as simple as I wrote

Regards,
Roberto
