That is simply incredible Eric!

What a graphic way to explain what most folks seem to find a rather difficult concept to grasp. I honestly thought these sketches were photographs until I saw your attribution in the bottom left corner!

OK, now that I've collected myself a bit more, let me say that series is stunning. Whatever you've done to generate color in that star really looks great (not to mention the entire sketch). The demonstration of progressively darkening background brightness is also excellent. The "output levels" terminology I used is peculiar to Adobe Photoshop's "Levels" menu, but "brightness" is a lot clearer. Really really nice. Thanks for posting that.
