Software to control scope?
      #6110095 - 09/30/13 09:35 PM

Up until recently, I had been using software (Astroplanner and Skytools) However, they are not getting anywhere near the center of the FOV. Tonight, I tried using just the handset to slew to objects and then slew to those same objects using the software. They were off by quite a bit. I checked the software to insure I was using JNow and not J2000. It made no difference. Has anyone else noticed this? Thanks.
Jim

Jim,

Did it work better before? Usually this is due to having the wrong date/time and or location in the HC vs. the software.

Al

How can the date or time be wrong since it has a GPS?
