Very nice, James.

I am still trying to get my Jupiter capturing mastered. If the weather holds out, I am going to try to capture Jupiter tomorrow morning.

Great capture James. Jupiter's showing lots of detail which stand out well in your images.

Thanks for posting.

Regards. Peter.

Hi James,

Nice going ! Congratulations on some classic Jupiter shots there !

The image without the use of the "Powermate" is seemingly sharper, but I think you'll find that there's still an equivalent amount of "stretchable" data left in the larger image.

Give it a tug ?

Best regards,
Tel

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement! I'm still relitively new to this with the amount of time I can dedicate to AP. Tel, tell me how and where I should "tug"?

On this picture of course!

I was out last weekend and was very tempted to stop my deep sky shooting and get some shots of Jupiter... I was able to hold off knowing I can always shoot planets from my crummy light polluted skies.

With that said, your pictures look great. Much better than anything I have yet to get. Keep up the good work!
