      #6133572 - 10/12/13 06:35 PM

looking for simplest GOTO mount for a 4" class apo (102mm f/8, 11lb tube)
The AGC5 is an option. How about an iOptron mount?
This is for visual only.

Thx,
Rob

The Cg5 will handle it perfectly both for visual and astrophotography .I have been using it with 25 lbs of load for DSO photography and i was very pleased. (I'm still pleased but i upgraded to a bigger mount for going higher with the FL).
i can't talk about the Iotpron mounts as i have never used one.
I was very tempted by the IEQ45 GT though as i had heared very positive experiences, i guess the IEQ30 (smaller version, same class as the CG5) should be ok too.

CG-5 is as simple as it gets. For visual, it will be rock steady with great GoTo's. No need to spend more.
