Tell us about the Eldorado Star Party new
      #6123052 - 10/07/13 04:55 PM

Pre-registration closes this Sunday (Oct 13). If you've been there before, please tell us what to expect. Comparisons to TSP or other parties appreciated.

How are the skies? The food? The bathrooms? I think that covers the basic needs:)

Lee

Lee,

It isn't TSP. The skies aren't as dark. You will see small light domes to the south. I haven't observed there enough to comment on the seeing. Attendance will about 1/3rd that of TSP. They have a couple of observing lists. The atmosphere on the observing field is relaxed, due to smaller attendance, but observing rules are enforced. Meals are served in the lodge, which is a short walk. Gourmet it isn't but I enjoyed the food. In close proximity to the lodge are rooms but they go quickly. Most camp near the observing field. There are portable toilets scattered around the field. Permanent showers are just off the observing field. Hope to see you there!

Kent

Thanks Kent! Until you replied, I had decided I had unknowingly broken wind in the elevator.
