Pierre.

Man, this is something I really like. Wonderful art you have done. What a huge amount of details. Incredible !!!

I don't recall someone else have done one crater at a time like you did. Honestly, your idea is so great, if I would start sketching the moon, I think this way would be my favorite one.

Bravo mon ami.

Andre.

Pierre,

It has been a while since you posted sketches here. I see you are still doing the highest quality work.
Excellent work as usual.I can still picture in my mind that sketch you did near the end of 2006 of Eratosthenes.

Frank

Wow!

I agree with Andrev. These sketches are unique and beautiful (and another reason why I won't be sketching the moon anytime soon).

Yea, I can only agree with everyone else. Man, suitable for framing. Beautiful. I love the feel of seeing so much detail, like seeing the actual lunar dust.

I'm deeply impressed! These are no sketches, this is pure art!

I ordered the book Astrodessin, so I can admire more of your beautiful work soon!

I wish I could sketch like you... Certainly years of experience!
Jef, I also ordered the books you are talking about. They will be my Christmas gift.

Many thanks for your nice words! I appreciate!

"years of experience" ? I do not know... The French Chinese painter Zao Wou Ki used to say: " it takes a very short time to make a painting, but years of a life before that..."

But well, I am not Zao Wou Ki...

Pierre

Beautiful sketch work!
You have inspired me to start lunar sketching again.

*And oh, I just remembered to comment in this late edit, that I am being asked to lecture again soon for college level students, and this will include a brief mention of The Cloudy Nights Sketching Forums to show the students my contributions here and others in astronomy sketch artist works in my lecture.

With your approval, I would like to include your recent lunar crater post here Pierre to confirm the professionalism of astronomy artists sketch works.

Now you can have a look inside the book: http://www.astrodessin.com/apercu.html. It looks really impressive! A lot to look at and a lot to read (if you understand French ).
