Eq6-gt tracking profile on PHD new
      #6140219 - 10/16/13 02:09 AM Attachment (29 downloads)

I'm pretty sure that this is an "average" phd chart profile
for the eq6-gt mount.
The sky was some what turbulent (twinkly stars everywhere)and I was picking a guide star above my house and for what I can see in the images, I think the mount is very good for its 40# capacity and relatively low price (as compared to mach1, 1000 micron, tak, etc,) all the stars were nice and sharp and round on a 8" sct at f/10.

How do you find the GOTO precision of AZ-EQ6 in EQ mode at 2000mm FL with your 60Da+8" RC on both sides of the meridian?

Do you use 2 or 3 star alingment in EQ mode?

What about the GOTOs in AZ mode?

goto's are good, if you go the 3 star route and everything is level and you scope is fairly accurately polar aligned and balanced.

I have not used the AZ mode yet

What guide camera were you using? Looks like a good graph at 400mm.

the old reliable Starshoot,, I have others, but this one was the closest to my hand when I reached in and grabbed one out of the accessory box..

I found out that the starshoot guides just as good as any others out there,,, it just doesn't deliver as clean an image as some of the higher priced ones..
