Old Celestron Ultima Wedge...and new Celestron SE?
      #6146658 - 10/19/13 12:58 PM

Hello,

I have an old tripod and wedge very heavy duty, that i got from an old Celestron Ultima scope. The Ultima is now married to an equatorial mount, so the tripod and wedge is free. I am wondering about it's campability with other goto configuations like the Celestron SE6/8 goto head, or say a CPC head? I have seen some and the three pin posts...appear to be the same configuration. does anyone have any information on this?

chris

The SE yes, I don't think the CPC due to their wide base

The bolt circle center should be 3.25". Due to the design of the Ultima wedge it may well work with the CPC. I have a Nextstar parts mount and can get you the base dims if it helps.
