Skywatcher EQ5 mount upgrade possibillities
      #6153081 - 10/23/13 07:38 AM

Hi, is it possible to upgrade a EQ5 mount to goto with position encoders so the mount can be moved manually without losing aliment ?
And,- what about upgrading the firmware with Linux Mint?

I found this on the net, it looks interesting but i dont know if there is a motor kit with encoders available for it:

I have looked at the support forum, but it seems that there is no one offering complete kits at the moment.

I have tried to contact the author, but there was no reply.
