Since it's been cloudy here, I've gone through some old data. Here's a reprocess of M8 The Lagoon Nebula captured back in July.

Details:

Scope: Skywatcher 80ED
Camera: Canon T2i (un-modded)
15 subs at 400 sec each ISO 400

Processed with PS CS5, using Carboni's actions.

It came out pretty good given it's an un-modded camera, I must admit I was suprised.

Thanks for looking.

Really nice Robert, especially given the un-modded camera.

I think that a little more star colour is the only thing that would help. The nebula itself looks great.

Nice. And from an unmodded camera!

Looks like you used too much noise suppression?

That is a beautiful Lagoon image, I see a small amount of clumping or noise blotch from maybe noise reduction in the very dim outer areas?

Thanks for everyone's comments. I did have to hit it pretty hard with the de-noise since my subs were in the 95-97 degree range and it's a low object on my horizon, down in the light pollution. I guess I went a little too hard.

I also agree on the star color, but that's about all I could get. Subs are really red from the LP, and I think that is washing out the color.

Thanks again, I'll give it another go when I get the chance.
