Elongated 72 Pegasi 11.3.13 new
      #6176945 - 11/05/13 08:25 AM

In the better Pickerings of seeing that often was dipped to 4 Pickering the persistence of elongation to 72 Pegasi was seen fairly clear. More egg than rod and certainly no pinch. This and Phi Andromedae from a previous session are my closest seps yet observed with the 150mm SCT.

Pete

Yes that's it Norme - though the lesser mag secondary was blended with the primary so they looked similar in brightness. That's lesser seeing softening the finer details. Phi Andromedae by contrast was well defined as a sliver crescent of dimmer magnitude behind the primary

I was going to present a sketch but alas I did 7662 and hit the sack as the previous night I got to bed at 2:30am for obvious reasons!

Nice work Norme!

Pete.
