My new Refractor new
      #6179814 - 11/06/13 06:49 PM Attachment (167 downloads)

Hey guys, how`s going?
Just want to show my new refractor, APM 107/700 mounted on a Celestron VX. The dovetail that holds the viewfinder was handmade from an aluminium bar.

Wow, sweet! Very 80's looking to me - I mean that in a very good way - Like the high priced scopes I used to drool over. GW

That's an intriguing aperture/ FL combo, decent light grasp with short form factor.

What's it weigh?

Edit: oh yeah, congratulations! It's a sweet looking setup.
Best,
David

Thanks guys! It´s 5,15Kgs with clamps, 4,45kgs without.
It`s a F/6,5, but i also have the Riccardi reducer and flattener 0,75X, wich makes it a F/4,9.

Nice and handy setup Emanual!

I have a cousin to your scope, I hope you will enjoy yours just as much - I kinda’ think you will.

The subtle colors, different sizes and intensities individual of stars in open clusters are some of my favorites. As well as M31, M42, Double Double, Alberio...

Thanks guys! Im sure i will enjoy it! The main reason for changing the setup was portability, but the scope is simply gorgeous, cant wait for trying it!

Nice choice Emanuel. I really like the TMB's. It looks light and easy to move around.

That telescope has absolutely nothing to do with TMB.
