Hi,

I began to rediscover the sky. Larger telescopes, several attractions.

A drawing yesterday. M57:

Yes, I'm with Andre. It is a wonderful sketch and you captured the central star. Very well done. Those are some nice skies. Put some magnification on that puppy and look for detail in the ring itself. You should note differences in brightness, maybe more than you captured already.

Andre, Norme, Frank, Jason, Tom, Thank You !!

This drawing is a big step for me. Now, discover the stars again. Larger telescopes = new universe. )

I think that matters a lot in a small telescope detected a lot. I had to learn to explore the details. To see what's out there in the field of vision.

Lovely sketch! Did you use high magnification to spy out the central star? Seeing it @ 85x with a 10" telescope would be quite the feat.

Thank You ! Central star...his is an interesting thing. I did not see there stars. I've seen it glow, a diffuse spot. It was at the edge of perception. But it was always there. Therefore, I drew forth.
I do not know what it was. I mean, I can not see the stars in the central távcsövemmel. BUT! I sensed something there. But it may just be an illusion.

Fine sketch. I always admire people who take the time to sketch all the field stars!

Very good drawing, and it seems you have indeed accomplished what I have thus far not been able to with a telescope twice as large. Seeing the central star in M-57 requires steady seeing and high magnification, to spot it with an 8-inch is a real accomplishment. It usually is a tough object to see even with telescopes considerably bigger than my 15-inch.

Taras
