What Model Meade 8 " is This Scope ?
      #6238481 - 12/07/13 03:37 AM Attachment (55 downloads)

I've had this Meade 8" F/10 SCT scope for many years but am not the first owner .
It is different than any other Meade I've ever seen or owned.
For one thing, the secondary mirror collimation is achieved with only 2 screws at 90 deg instead of the usual 3 .
The baffle tube is removable and collimatable with internal knife edge baffles.
Does anyone recognize the model, type, year, etc , or know any other details about this scope ?

Looks like an early style Meade 2080

Yes, this a very early 2080. Probably came on the AC powered fork mount.

Those were notorious for 1/2 wave optics.
