IC 1848 in Ha new

I shot this last night after fiddling with the Orion Ha filter. I've watched the stars change shape between subs and really wonder if the cell isn't tight allowing the glass to move slightly.

This was 3x600 sec and 10x 900 sec with the 80ED/Atik 314L+

Terry - +1 another very nice! Those two multi star systems keep all things honest? I like your processing - preserving the dim dust and gas features along with a nice dimensional foreground background look - those pillar / column type features on the r/h side are just IMO cool looking.

As far as the shape changing... do you think it's something a small diameter o-ring or plastic washer / spacer could fix?

I like it, echo the nice processing. The stars don't look too bad at this scale (maybe a tiny bit at upper left).

Thanks Jim. I don't know about making this filter work. My $olution was to order the Astrodon 5nm

Thanks Serge. This shot looked more symmetrical with the elongated stars, more like the spacing is off. I should have the new filter tomorrow. Of course it's now
