13.8 mag Supernova in NGC 1418
      #6270325 - 12/24/13 10:33 AM

Just noticed that the Bright Supernova web site has announced a supernova(2013gy)in the galaxy NGC 1418 in Eridanus. The SN is N of the galaxy and is the only star of that brightness in the field so it should stand out very nicely.

I'm hoping the skies are clear this Saturday so I can have a look.

This SN has faded to mag 14.6 as listed by the Bright Supernova website.
