Your 1st Deep Sky DSLR Astrophotos
      #630956 - 10/06/05 01:01 PM

I have put up a webpage for the absolute beginner DSLR owner wishing to achieve success on his very first foray into Deep Sky astrophotography, with the absolute minimum of equipment; no scope, no tracking mount, not even a tripod. Yes, provided you have access to a dark site, it really is possible to achieve this on your very first night out:

sounds like a great idea, looks like a good start too.

But I am guessing it is a work in progress, I didn't see the instruction part. the only thing I would consider adding is using a few "shift enters " to break the text down, making it easier to read. It does seem to resize with the web page though, so it probably fine .
Just my personal preference.

nice pics, keep up the good work

Hi! OK, I have now labelled "Here are the instructions" It's actually how brief they need to be. 3 lines. I have been trying to add some more images at longer focal lengths but light pollution near my home has made it impossible. Next time I go into the boonies I'll try to get some more shots, hopefully with more frames stacked and at longer focal lengths. It's amazing how many things can go wrong in any astrophotography session.
