SN in M82

Finally we have a clear night here in Germany. I used my 12 cm comet catcher to look at M 82. The sky was not especially dark; I measured 20.2 mag /arcsec˛ at my rural site. The sky brightened because of the snow we have.

I tried to see detail in the gelaxy (beside the SN) which was not an easy task. i used magnifications of 60x and 75x. The image is mirror reversed.

Hi Uwe,

I wouldn't say in Germany - to be precise: Only in parts of Germany.

Anyway: Nice sketch!

Achim

Hi Uwe,

This is a fine sketch of M82 and 2014J.
Great to see you captured it.

Hi Uwe,

Nice piece. I like the intensity contrasts you got here too.
Here's a reversed value image - thought u might appreciate it.

Uwe,
Nice sketch--glad you got to see the SN. Looks like it is still less than 10th magnitude compared to the stars to the lower left.
