Supernova SN 2014J in M82
      #6346145 - 01/30/14 10:04 PM Attachment (35 downloads)

It was 13 degrees F. outside but I just HAD to get a shot of this supernova. I took this with my Meade 14" LX850 OTA on my AP1200 mount and my SBIG ST-8300M camera. This is a stack of 5x5 minutes each in LRGB. Processed with Images Plus, Adobe Photoshop CS5 and NeatImage. Fortunately I was able to relax in my lounge chair in the house while operating the telescope in my observatory!

Good shot Lenny. This may be the most photographed SN yet.

Mark

Great capture Len. Always love to image from the comfort of a nice chair.
