Transit of Io and it's shadow (March 2nd) new
      #6405844 - 03/02/14 03:10 PM Attachment (18 downloads)

This evening we had quite steady air her in Germany. I observed Jupiter and saw Io’s shadow moving across the disk. The moon itself I could see not until very close to the edge. But then it was the brightest feature of the whole disk.
The eddy trail of the GRS could be glimpsed easily, and some other details were observable in moments of very steady air.
The instrument was a 12 inch Newtonian at 192x.
