my first sketches of the moon and Jupiter
      #6419851 - 03/21/14 07:17 PM

Hi,
This post was lost in transition.
Since it was my first in this corner of CN I decided to repeat it. I donīt remember what I said but the sketches explain most of it; the nights were quiet.
After doing some sketches of double stars, the moon was still there, so quiet, that I decided to take a shot at it, and really enjoyed the learning experience trough drawing.

Clear skies

Bernardo,

Those are striking, captivating and just down right gorgeous! Well done and thank you for sharing them. Worth of an entry for Astronomy Sketch of the Day.

Thank you
It is an architect style sketch.
I normally do rough sketches of building plans, views and details, here it was different I was drawing a something I was actually seeing.
The best thing is I found that drawing helps me remember more features, and maybe one day I'll have a clear map of the moon in my brain.

Bernardo,

I do recall commenting on these before we flash backed here.

All very fine sketches.

Nice work. I've started reviewing these sketching threads to get motivated to take the first step. It just looks so difficult!

Hi Dave
I'm not an expert, close, but not really... I draw buildings.
And the way I see it is that everyone sketch's differently, it's like a signature, if you enjoy it, just do it.
