Wow Charles, those are awesome photos. Are you planning on doing your own Messier Marathon? You are starting to get quite a catalog of pictures. Do you ever do planetary stuff or all DSOs?

Wes made me give up planets! I'll try them again maybe one night when the moon is out and I can't shoot color in the nebulas. As to the Messier catalog if others don’t start contributing I guess it will be left up to me.

Well The Money Pit is setup and I'm shooting my last few images of darks before I start out on my M quest tonight. I have the powermate hooked up for close ups. Told the neighbors if they don't turn of that search light I was going to shoot it out with my Gold Cup 45.
If I get alignment done quickly I might even start out with M79 before it crosses the southern meridian.

Your California Nebula is OUTSTANDING!!! Pics like those are what keeps me trying. So far I've not been real successful, but man are you setting a goal for me to shoot for.

Thank you all, this image is what one can do with great equipment good seeing a nice dark site. All that I did to this image was reductions/align/combine ( NOW I did use Sigma combine on this) then in PhotoShop curves/levels, then guss blur and unsharp mask. Nothing else was done. I have been imaging now for 14 months and still feel that I have allot to learn.

Mark,
Seems you spent most of that 14 months doing the exposures for that one shot!
Stunning image.
