Post your photos of Sunsets, Conjunctions, Star Parties, Astro Art and "Other" astro related pictures here.

For your photo entries, please provide a description that includes:
Your First and Last Name;
Date of photo (can include the time);
Description (title) of the image;
Relevant photo information (exposure length and equipment used).

This is important! If you don't supply ALL information, we won't be able to use your photograph!!!!

Please note: due to copyright issues, all photos MUST be original (If they aren't then you will be banned from this section of the forum!).

Photograph of the Clark 24" Refractor at Lowell Observatory, Flagstaff, AZ. Story can be found here.
2-photo mosaic, shot with a Canon 300D Digital Rebel, 15 sec., f/3.5, 21.0 mm focal length using kit lens, ISO 1600. Stitched together in Photoshop CS2. Curves selectively applied to sky and interior to bring out best contrast in both. Unsharp mask applied. Masked curves used to softly darken outer edges to keep focal point centered.

Photograph of the Cassiopeia Milky Way from Anderson Mesa, AZ, featuring the Double Cluster in Perseus, M31, and several others. 1024 x 638 image with labeled rollover is available here. Links to selected magnified sections available here.
Shot is a stack of 3 images shot using the following: Canon 300D Digital Rebel piggyback mounted on an Orion Skyview Pro mount. 10 minute exposures (x 3), f/3.5, 18.0 mm focal length using kit lens, ISO 800. Dark and flat frames applied. Gradients removed using masked Curve adjustment layers. Additional Curve adjustment layer used to balance color as best as possible. Neat Image used to smooth noise and sharpen.
