As to the exposure time yes it increases considerably. As an example I normally shoot the horsehead at 7 minutes with a red filter. Using Ha I shoot at 15 minutes. I shot the one posted at ten minutes but I really should had gone for 15 minutes. I'm trying to shoot the Christmas Tree tonight between the clouds and I'm shooting it at 15 minutes each. I hope to get at least a hours worth but I do not think I'm going to get it tonight with the clouds.
