Interesting article - however it says that frame dragging has not been directly measured. It was directly measured by two other satellites; LAGEOS I and LAGEOS II.

Sorry, I have a tendency to criticize news articles that report on the latest observations and other such goodies. Most of the reporters don't really understand what they're reporting and sometimes report critical errors, don't ask the right questions or even jump to their own conclusions.

I've read some articles that don't even come close to what was reported.

Anyways, its something to consider when reading these articles written by a joe-blow journalist. The facts are not always straight and may tend to confuse the reader to draw the wrong conclusions.

The Gravity Probe B satellite is an amazing piece of equipment, finally completed in 2003 after four decades of development and construction. From its largest to smallest parts, it is filled with cutting edge technology and materials, many of which were invented specifically for the Gravity Probe B mission.
