Reflector Links of Interest
      #90474 - 04/14/04 02:59 PM

Hi folks, Thought I'd finally get around to creating this thread. If you have any links of interest that are specifically for reflectors of any type, please post them here. I encourage you to add any link that you believe will help the reflector community. Please feel free to also post links to manufacturers and vendors that cater to reflectors.

Here is the link to the NEWT program.

This one was added in the new "beginners Forum" and is an excellent link for step-by-step collimation of an XT8 newtonian OTA.

http://www.schlatter.org/Dad/Astronomy/collimate.htm

Definitely recommended reading for someone just learning to collimate there newt. In his article, it might be advantageous to add Stacy's grid paper in place of the orange background paper to aid in correct placement of the physical secondary mirror/holder...maybe one of his colors (orange, neon green or neo yellow) with a grid on it.

Orion has added the 2.48" diagonal mirror to their site. So if you want to delete this message you can.
