It sports a lift-off roof with walls that fold down. I'll be sitting inside the house remotely contolling the scope, StellaCam, and laptop for autoguiding. It had to be small due to limitations in the back yard. Built by myself in 2003. Originally housed a Nexstar 11 in alt/az mode and was comfortable for that purpose. Now has an A-P 1200GTO with A-P 155EDF and new Solarmax 90 which take up a lot more space. The roof is unique in that it is made from 1x1 mostly and sheathed with a very light weight foam sheet material (~1 1/2" thick). For weatherproofing, the sheathing is covered with aircraft covering fabric material 'doped' on in the same manner fabric covered airplanes are constructed. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone else, but it has worked well enough for me in the mild SoCal climate for the past 5 years.
