Sketching, imaging planets, and imaging dso's are such widely different sets of disiplines that I had a hard time trying to judge them against each other.

I did the easy thing and gave all 3 entries a "5".

I hear ya.

Think of it as similar to a cooking contest - lots of different dishes prepared in different ways, but they still get judged and one wins..

My feeling is that the sketching entries will suffer a bit, because they don't have the immediate visual impact of images - it's easy to forget how darn hard it is to get a good sketch.

I gave them all 5 too

Well, that was my initial concern too. But we have alot of talented sketchers and I'm betting that they'll have their share of wins over time.
