Hi!
Seeing conditions were horrible!! (4-5/10) ... In fact The moments when Jupiter was in transit, it was too low and the seeing was as described above...simply horrible!!(I had to discard the rest of AVIs... :-( Anyway here I'm posting the two "less worse" pics... Any comment will be welcome! First pic: Jupiter and Europa...
Regards,
David

...And this is almost a shame... Robert...sorry! Ganymede's shadow can barely be seen, the rest of the pics (when it was in plain transit)are garbage! I hope the seeing improves to get better results!
Thanks for taking a glance!!

Amazing!! What equipment are you using. The detail on the disk is great.

Sounds like you're stuck with the same conditions I always seem to have. If only we could have an 8/10 seeing and transparency night with no wind.
You caught an interesting development just to the lower right of GRS though. Am I looking at a second Red Jr. developing? Its hard to tell if there's a cyclonic action starting to happen there. Mike's image doesn't show a vortex, but who knows for sure until we see a new capture.

Don't worry, David! I'm sure good seeing will hit your spot soon! The first image holds quite a lot of details though! One thing I might suggest is to scale the image down a bit. Should get it more sharper. Hope you don't mind, but I reprocessed the first shot a bit. Here's what it looks after a small unsharp mask + some color balance(don't know if I made anything better, but looks more natural on my monitor) + resizing Clear skies mate!!

David: I've gotta disagree--That's a beautiful pic with good detail! You really nailed some interesting activity in and around the GRS.

David these are still very good images!! Especially for the conditions.
I'm sure you'll have some good seeing soon, good luck again tonight if you're out imaging over opposition!

Gaz O'C, Gendo, Siim, Jim and Robert,
Thank you very much for your kind words!!
Siim, good job!! I sometimes need to know how large can be the image scale for a given condition.Thank you very much!!
Gaz O'C, I use a C8 SCT and Color Raw Mode ToUcam II...to be honest I can do it slightly better...as we all need here, I also need good seeing...that's something rare here, especially lately!!...I'll be praying for a clear and steady sky tonight!!
BTW, clear and steady skies to you guys!!

David, It's a good image. I think Siim did exactly what it needed...a resize. The resize looks great.
