This is a 5x3 mosaic of 25x0.02sec images taken with a Meade LXD75 SN6 fitted with a 2x Barlow and an LPI. The source images were combined in real-time using Envisage and saved as BMPs. The mosaic was assembled using Panorama Maker, levels adjusted and resized in Photoshop.

Outstanding image John. One of the best I remember seeing. Sharp and not over processed.

Your contrast and sharpness is really good John, and your frame blending is excellent.

If I were to make one suggestion, I'd have used the black eyedropper in "Levels" to set the black point in the area of sky where you can still see some of the frame transitions (at least on my monitor), so that the sky is evened out a bit better.

Great job!

Charlie

I tried both tools this evening after reading this post. Panorama Maker won't run on my system (Windows 2003). I tried Image Assembler. Very powerful, but overkill. iMerge is quick and easy and inexpensive.

Really nice image John! I use PS' Panorama maker and it works really well for me too - a lot of people dislike it though. Don't know why...
