Guys i've seen binos offered on cradle mounts , cantileever mounts , photo tripods and alt/az mounts with slow motion controls but i've never seen a bino on a equatorial mount . What have i missed about this ? I'm thinking about purchaseing another giant binocular but i'd like setting circles and r.a. and dec. drives . Yep , i'm new but i have a pair of Baush & Lomb 20 x 80s on a T & T tripod with a cantileever mount . For some reason will a binocular not work on an equitorial mount ?

There's no reason why it souldn't work. In theory.
I just can't imagine how you'd be able to look through them at some of the crazy angles an equatorial mount is capable of positioning to. Plus, I think height would be an issue as well since you need to get the binos 5 - 6 feet of the ground.

Very few positions would ever afford you a level eye position. You would almost always have your head tilted to one side.
Scott is right about not being able to get under them. In many positions, the mount head would block access to the eyepieces.
For a 6'0 tall person a binocular mount needs to be about 66" to 70" high to the mount platform. I have five different scope mounts EQ2, EQ3, SVD, CG5 and Vixen GP. Only the CG5 or Vixen GP would get that high and only if I put the head on my vixen tripod or my surveyor tripod.
