Fascinating reading through this topic. It's thoughts like this which can really spark the imagination.

I would however like to point out that the human eye doesn't see at all. It's merely a receiver of wavelengths so I'm aware.
It's the brain which sees by interpreting the different wavelengths that enter the eye. Thus I came to a conclusion about what makes the eye so special, is merely the fact that we've evolved with brains that can decifer one wavelength from another and change it into something we can picture in our minds.
So we're not actually seeing, but receiving information and interpreting it into what our mind has evolved us to see.

What we say we can see, will look different to other species of creature, and would more than likely look completely different to species beyond our planet (if there are any), as they would have evolved in a different way.

I'm not a spiritualist etc,,, but I do believe that the light we receive (albeit via the sun or a distant nebula via a telescope) has a biological effect on us (in some primeval kind of way).

People who observe the stars, planets and DSO's may be under a different form of light influence than those who aren't viewing. Deep stuff, but a thought I found compelling to share.

I've been on this website for a very short time, but I can see there are many experienced observers here. I would be fascinated to hear any thoughts on topics like this.
It's quite deep stuff when you delve into a subject like this, but equally important to share imo.

Clear skies all !

It was to spark some thinking that I started this thread. Glad some of the notes prompted some thoughts of your own.
