thanks Ed, I do remember you mentioning the off-center sharp area, but this latest comparison really puts things into perspective. Looks like they're as sharp as my Swift Audubon 8,5x44.

Two things to bear in mind here folks , before anyone gets TOO excited .

Anyone who says SHARPNESS in images through binoculars is EQUAL from centre to edge is either :

1. Describing VERY VERY BAD binoculars

2. Describing binoculars with optics exceeding all laws of physics

3. Suffering from SERIOUS visual disorder , or

4. Lying

Point two :

It can be VERY misleading to judge the optical performance of any specific MODEL against another by just comparing ONE SPECIMEN of model X against ONE SPECIMEN of model Y .

haha, Kenny, I must say I've had the same thought:
"equally sharp from center to edge" is not the same as "very sharp from center to edge".

We'll see; I'm sure they'll sell more than one piece of these, so hopefully a few reviews end up here on CN.
