The skies have cleared for now just a few clouds every now & then. You can see coming over the limb. Looks spectacular throught the PST with a 10mm or 17mm EP that I'm using.

By the time I got out (about 2030 UT), there was only a diffuse patch of plage just inside the limb and not much else (other than a few small spiky prominences on the limb). So much for the 1st of the year (hope it gets better). Clear skies to you.
