First Light 100ED
      #2243585 - 03/08/08 06:37 AM Attachment (17 downloads)

Hi all!
My new Orion 100ED arrived yesterday and I was lucky with some clear skies this morning. I had very turbulent atmosphere but rather good seing so it was really tough getting focus and a sharp photo. But I tried to photograph and also pushed the 100ED @ 4500mm using a x5 Powermate and I´m happy about the details at the limb in that photo.
All photos taken by Solarmax60 filter and Canon DSLR.
My daughter (soon 7 years old) came out and looked through the 100ED/SM60 and actually saw the Sun for the first time in Ha.....and she said: WOW! Look at that....it´s....beautiful!!!
You can imagine how happy I am at the moment!!!!!

Clear skies!

/P-M

Great first image! What your daughter said is so true - the Sun is beautiful. If the seeing is really good the Sun is very striking even in (or especially) white light.
